Let’s talk ‘Scapes.’
Landscapes ~ Seascapes ~ All kinds of scapes
Paradigmscapes
The definition of ‘scape‘ is basically a scenery view… a vista. ‘Scape‘ comes from Greek, the root of ‘Skapos,’ meaning a measuring ‘rod‘ or ‘scepter,’ while the 13th century word ‘escape‘ means to free oneself from confinement.

The modern use moves beyond ‘Landscape’ into warscape, seascape, hardscape that describes a broader field of vision or overarching mainstream view of a landscape. But then it also relates to the Latin word ‘sculpt‘, meaning ‘to carve.‘ I would take it one step further; to scape is to shape, bring into form, or to ‘create.’
But how about internal vistas, such as dreamscapes? Do we create or sculpt our internal scapes? As I was meditating some weeks back, a new word came to me in meditation. ~ Paradigmscapes~ that describe fields filled with thought forms, passing though one another and intersecting. Words, Ideas, beliefs take on shape, geometry, FORM, that create the blueprints and shape our world of actions in daily life.

St. Teresa of Avila wrote extensively of such endeavors in her book, “The Interior Castle.” In her classic of Christian Mysticism, she described seven mansions or dwelling places as different developmental stages (scapes) along the spiritual journey toward divine union. What if these inner ‘scapes’ are more than a metaphor? Is it possible for varying densities and dimensions to present as paradigm-scapes?
A back-to-school image came to me as I was contemplating these questions. Picture a loose leaf three ring binder and a packet of loose-leaf paper, ready to begin the new school year. The binder that holds all the individual sheets of paper could represent LOVE, while the paper could hold lessons to be written on them.
Each sheet of paper stands ready to record an experience or thought or idea, or feeling. The metal binder rings (representing heart acceptance) welcome each experience, but the holes in the sheet must align with the binder rings before it can integrate into the binder storage. When the three holes align with the (heart acceptance) metal rings, a gateway is formed, allowing the holes in the paper to accept the rings and merge into a newly organized system or paradigm, if you will.

The information is stored in the binder until needed for activation within the imagination/mind of the student.Well, it’s the same with density and dimension, life experience and knowledge. They just exist as metaphoric sheets, inside metaphoric binders that snap together differently in myriad combinations and play by different quantum rules in varying configurations, which could be called paradigmscapes.
Yeah, I know this can be considered way outside the box. Yet– if we are going to solve seemingly unsolvable problems in our world, then thinking outside the box is inevitable. Otherwise, we stay stuck in a hamster wheel feedback loop that keeps us trapped inside the old ratty binder holding all those unlearned lessons.
So, how does one get a new notebook with fresh paper? WE purchase them with “HEART BUCKS” kept in a cosmic treasury account. Every kindness deposits cumulatively into a higher vibes repository. Every point of joy, service to greater good, creative cooperation, collaborative idea, creation of beauty, art, harmony literally generates momentum toward new and higher states of awareness that we can cash in for that shiny new binder.
Eventually, without notice, a new empty binder appears with new empty paper to keep recording ever expansive experiences on. But with it comes a new paradigm to be created, integrated, savored and witnessed… brought into existence through living each day, hour, moment in this incarnation. Your own paradigmscape is a masterpiece that you create from your personal reality- unique from all other realities, concurrently existing together. And the binders are there – accessible when needed, in the beautiful form of your own mind.

The heart is the key to lining up each paper to slip over the rings. Of course the physical heart supports the human organism as it pumps blood, carries the sacred breath of life through the physical body. Yet the unseen mechanisms within the heart also link the soul to infinite paradigmscapes. How do we access this aspect of the heart so we can slip the paper into the binder safely?
~ Remember ~ The heart is LOVE’S gateway ~ the GREAT BINDER ~
